"Then Jesus said to His disciples, 'If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me.'"
-- Matthew 16:24

We, as United Methodist Women, have affirmed our obligation and responsibility to highlight programs and encourage women to continue to give thoughtfully in order to make a difference in the lives of women, children and youth around the world. By our sacrificial giving, to our October expression, a Call to Prayer and Self-Denial theme, it enables us to build and equip schools, libraries, and clinics. We train rural and urban women to specialize in ministries that provide teaching and shelter for those uprooted by wars and other disasters. Our giving supplies nutrition and medical assistance, and also advocates for changed public policy to benefit women and children. Ultimately our response is to give God the glory and thank Him for His love and grace which enables us to do so. Please come and join us and donate to this ministry from your heart. Peace and blessings!

Chestnut Memorial has had a rich history of women working together in the name of Jesus Christ through United Methodist Women. Our members work and advocate for the voiceless, mentally challenged and much more, with a particular emphasis on supporting women, children and youth. Our world is our mission field and we promote growth and renewal in a relationship with Christ.
